Simple-cycle site. Mark VIe to EX2100e is fine at idle. Close the generator breaker and we get a comms fault, then it clears. Fiber looks clean. Anyone seen excitation comms that only hate load?

We chased that for a week. Ground potential on the exciter skid jumped when the breaker closed. Bond the EX2100e chassis back to the Mark VIe cabinet with a fat strap, not the shield drain. Also confirm the IONet fiber is the GE-specified type — a generic patch will pass light and still drop under EMI.
