No degree. Night classes. I can get a cheap 1200 or a used Micrologix. Plants around me are half Logix, half TIA, a couple of Omron. Don't tell me 'all of them.' What one box do I buy and actually finish a project on?

If your zip code is Logix, a used CompactLogix and Studio 5000 time beats a shiny 1200 you never take online. If the plants are TIA, a 1200 starter kit and a Comfort panel. Finish a machine: sensors, a VFD, an HMI, a fault list. The brand is local. The habit of finishing is the skill.
