L35E says the connection table is full — I only have one HMI

1769-L35E. Studio will not go online over Ethernet. Unplug the cable, mash Go Online, sometimes it lets me in. One PanelView, three PowerFlex, a couple MSG. Where do you actually count CIP connections on this brick, and what do you kill first?

L35E tops out around 32 CIP. In practice leave headroom at 24. Each drive, each HMI screen class, each MSG cache, each laptop browse eats one. Open the Ethernet module web page and read TCP vs CIP, not the Studio tooltip. Serial or USB to get online, then drop unused MSG caches and slow the HMI poll. Don't keep three laptops browsing Who Active.
