USB stick on an HMI — real-world concern, not a slide
Yasmin Farouk · Electrical
Ops copies a recipe CSV with a stick they keep in a drawer. IT wants the ports filled with glue. I want a procedure that isn't glue. What actually happened at a plant you will name a class of, and what control did you put in that ops still uses?

Disable autorun, allow one signed admin stick, log the copy, keep recipes on a fileshare the HMI already mounts. Glue is how someone uses the port on the back. A plant I will not name lost a weekend to a stick that lived in a lunchbox. Procedure plus a blocked port group — not a poster.
