Open-source HMI stacks plants will actually let on a panel PC

Not a hobby. A water plant will allow a browser on a locked-down PC. What have you put in front of ops that wasn't WinCC or FactoryTalk and still survived an audit — Grafana, Ignition Perspective, something else — and what did you refuse to put on the same box as the PLC?

Perspective or a locked Grafana reading a historian, never the PLC. The panel PC does not sit on the controller VLAN. Open source is fine if you can patch it and you own the image. A random Node-RED dashboard with write nodes is how you get a finding.
