Small cell, one curtain, two E-stops, a gate. Safety relay would work. Sales wants a safety PLC so we can 'expand.' I don't want a safety project for a relay job. Where is the honest line?

If the risk assessment is a curtain, two E-stops, and a gate, a dual-channel relay and monitored reset is honest. GuardLogix is when you have muting, zones, robots, and a future you can name. Don't buy a safety PLC to make a slide look modern. Do the assessment, then pick the iron.

We will say no to a safety PLC if a relay meets the assessment. Integrity first. sales@ts-controls.com with the risk file if you want a second set of eyes.
